About the Doctor
Dr. Alphy Puthiyidom has several years of expertise in advanced endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries in gynaecology .She is a well experienced and competent laparoscopic surgeon with a special interest in managing difficult laparoscopic cases . She was awarded her MBBS degree from JSS Medical College, Mysore, India and her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from PSG Medical College, Coimbatore,India . After that, she had her Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery from Sunrise Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, India and is also trained for infertility management and assisted reproductive techniques from the Institute of Reproductive Medicine, Kolkata, which is the pioneering centre in Reproductive Medicine in India. In addition, she has also been trained in Gynaecological Oncology from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore.
Before joining International Modern Hospital, she was working as a Consultant gynaecologist and laparoscopic surgeon at Sunrise Institute of Medical Science, Kochi. Dr. Alphy is a gifted teacher of Minimally Invasive Techniques; to date she has provided training in Laparoscopic Gynaecology Procedures to more than 350 Gynaecologists from India, the Middle East and South-East Asia. Adding to that Dr. Alphy has been invited as a speaker to many international conferences and has demonstrated surgical techniques in conferences of laparoscopy.
