Dr. Rasha HassanDDS

A Smile can literally change a life, and Dr. Hassan had the privilege of helping her patients with that for over 14 years, between the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Hassan received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree from the College of Dental Surgery, Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 1997, India. She completed one year internship at Dammam Central Hospital, Saudi Arabia. Then worked at the National Guard Dental Clinics in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Hassan completed her orthodontic residency and Masters Degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and moved on to working as a teaching assistant for 3 years in the university. She was a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics for five years between 2007 to 2012.

Dr. Hassan believes that everyone deserves the quality of life that comes with a healthy, brilliant smile. She appreciates that every face is unique and that orthodontic treatment enhances what makes you special. Dr. Hassan's goal is to provide an expert and honest orthodontic analysis for each patient. She does not place orthodontic braces unless needed and at the right time to minimize treatment duration and maximize the effect. She presents to the patient different treatment options that meet their specific needs.

Dr. Hassan monitors each patient's oral health and either provides or recommends protective treatments, to assure that at the end of treatment all her patients achieve a healthy and beautiful smile

Dr. Hassan's experience include dento-facial orthopedics, in which the growth of the jaws are modified and guided using orthodontic appliances. Interceptive orthodontics, through which the early signs of problems with bone or teeth are detected and early treatment is started. Corrective orthodontic treatments by which existing problems are treated. Also, habit breaking treatments and appliances.

Dr. Hassan's approach to orthodontic care includes a consultation appointment at which she would discuss the patients complaints and needs, a comprehensive diagnosis and analysis of the patient records. This results in formulation of a timed individualized treatment plan that meets the patients needs. From there, a discussion of the analysis, treatment options and retention plan with the patient and parents and finally, placement of orthodontic appliances and commencement of treatment.
