Dr. Safwan Al Bayati is a Consultant in Phaco-Vitrectomy, Refractive and Keratoconus. He earned his fellowship training in phaco-vitrectomy under Dr. Frank Koch from Frankfurt University, Ophthalmic Department, Germany. Dr. Al Bayati completed his training in Lasik from Munich, Germany. Among few ophthalmic surgeons in the world, Dr. Al Bayati is an expert in front & back segment of the eye, leading to his expertise in cataract extraction using the latest technology by Phaco (Multifocal lens, Toric Natural and IQ Lenses) and vitrectomy. He is also an expert in refractive surgery which includes advanced Lasik, customized surface ablation laser and treatment of Keratoconus. Dr. Safwan Al Bayati is among the first group of ophthalmic surgeons who started ICL in 2005 in Dubai, UAE. He has a wide range of experience in the management of retinal cases.
